Why do I keep hitting the rim of my racket in badminton? What can I do to improve?

I hit the rim a lot in badminton. I swear, if they made the racket a bit bigger and in a donut shape I would be a world cl player. I think it has to do with my timing, like I'm not waiting long enough on a dropping birdie, or not reaching far enough to block smashes... But sometimes, when the birdie is dropping slowly from the sky, I tell myself, WAIT!!! And I make sure that I will hit it in the sweet spot. But then, PLINK, I hit it on the rim again. This really annoys me. What can I do to improve my play?

the chances of getting pregnant again? My OB never told me to keep taking them, she told me to keep taking my iron, but all my friends who have had kids and many moms on here have told me to keep taking my prenatal pills as they will help my body readjust. How can I get my horse over his fear of bridles?

I work with a horse who is terrified of the bridle going over his ears. He had a lot of problems when he first came to the stable, but this wasn't one of them. He slowly started becoming resistant to the bridle and is now panicky. A couple of people have tried to bridle him when he was tied to the fence, which just resulted in him snapping the lead rope and has only exacerbated the problem. He trusts me, so the stable owner has asked me to tackle this problem. I know he's not head shy as he loves having his head rubbed and he accepts the bit without a fuss, so that's not the problem either. He doesn't react negatively when I halter him and I have tried draping a rope around his head and ears and he is fine with that as well. I can rub his head and ears with the bridle or hackamore in my hand, but as soon as I make a move to put it over his head, he pulls back, raises his head so I can't reach it (he's half draft horse, so he's a BIG boy) and starts sweating. He's making huge strides in all of his other hang-ups, but I'm at a loss for this one. Any suggestions?

If you're talking about the revolver when you say "pistol" I had one. It is by far, the worst GUN not handgun or anything, it's the worst firearm I've EVER owned. Kapsersky Antivirus 2011 uses 98% of CPU when it scans. Why?

Kapsersky Antivirus is consuming the entire CPU when a full computer scan is done. It is extremely heavy on CPU and computer gets slowed down tremendously. I don't know what its doing but its been almost 5 hours but it hasn't finished the scan. I have about 100 GB worth of hard drive (total size is 465 GB, but only 100 GB has been used so far) and 2 GB RAM along with Vista operating system. KAV does not use RAM that much, but its very rough on CPU. It keeps punishing the CPU ruthlessly when scanned. Also I thought that it had a very fast scanning engine but it takes almost 6 hours to scan. I used to have mcafee and that took 9 hours to scan. I also had ashampoo anti-malware and that took 8 hours. But no antivirus is this rough on CPU as KAV. I can't do anything because 98% of CPU is taken by KAV. Even things like opening broswer is so hard. Its very hard to have come to yahoo answers with such slow speed.

Since they are not attacking each other and biting and scratching it sounds like they will make it! They probably need at least another week to get along. It might be a good idea to put them in separate rooms for part of the time. I would have done that right from the first day, kept them separate at night anyway. But it sounds like they are getting along well. We had kittens come here to live with a 8 year old dog and he just walked along and ignored them as they swatted at his tail. Hello, I was given an ACD for the charge of Petty Larceny about a year ago and I was told to complete a cl and pay a fine and the case would be dismissed after 6 months. I have completed the cl and it has been past six months. If the charge was dismissed, does that mean it will show up when people do background checks? I eat healthy, and paint my nails with OPI and revlon nail polish, i use a nail strengthening coat underneath and a clear topcoat. I am a vegetarian, so I cannot eat gelatin, which I know is good for the nails, and I already take calcium pills. However, my nails always chip and fall apart. Flaking,dry,pealing makeup. how to make it stop?

i have horrible skin. sometimes it REALLY oily, sometimes it's REALLY dry and splotchy. and i have bad acne. Every day since summer started, I have been on news sites, blogs, and feeds; and every where there are rude, hateful comments against Muslims. After reading so many lies and comments of hate against Islam, I started doubting God a lot, but then I came to realize that those haters were only spewing lies, and misrepresenting Islam. But I wonder, why is there so much hate against us when there are so many of us? Why are haters attacking Islam in their posts and not the terrorists? Doing poorly in college can I study engineering?

So the thing with me is, I'm pretty average. I have horrible reading skills. It takes me forever to read, and then I don't comprehend and forget all that I read. Also, I'm better at math but I'm pretty average at math as well. I'm currently in the college of engineering in a competitive top nation program and I think I got in because of my high standardized test scores because I practiced a lot and took prep cles and because I got lucky. Frankly, I don't think I'm able to study my major industrial engineering as it requires math. I'm in calculus 1 and I understand it, but I really struggle. Also, for me, I have to copy textbooks repeatedly for me to understand. If I just read a textbook, I can't comprehend. Also, I feel I'm doing pretty poorly right now in college and this is my first semester. I don't know what to do. Why am I struggling? Why is my reading so horrible, and how can I improve it? Also, my vision keeps getting worse like every 2 months for the past year so I used to be nearsighted and at -2 diopters but now I'm -3 and this change took place in a year because I've studied so much yet I still can't understand. Maybe it's because I can't see the book that I can't understand? My personal opinion is poor eating habits, not exercise. If people ate properly, there would be less obesity, even if people didn't exercise.. People eat crap and far too much of it. We live in a society where food is plentiful. Unfortunately, a lot of this plentiful food is fast food. Face it, you can't go 5 miles in the US without running into some form of fast food establishment. So, it's a combination of poor quality food being consumed and excessive quantity. We were raised, at least most of us were, to clean our plates because there are starving children in the world. So, we do so with gusto. We go to restaurants, get high fat appetizers, main courses and follow it with desert.

Laptop stop working and making a clicking noise.?

I have an ACER ASPIRE 5315 SERIES. About a week ago I went to plug my laptop in and the part that plugs into the laptop made a zapping shocking kind of sound. the laptop was running but then within 15minutes the laptop shutoff. since then it hasn't even turn on or hasn't even seem to be charging since the light for charging doesn't come on...I bought a new charger and plug it in and still nothing comes on at all...took the laptop apart, taking the battery out, holding the power on down for 20 secs. took the hard drive part out but it all back together and try to start and still nothing. took it apart again and didn't notice this before but when I plug in the charger to the laptop it starts to make a faint but noticeable clicking noise but once unplug it goes away.....what could be wrong with my laptop?

Well, this is a really idiot move on my part, but at the beach today I ran to the water (blame the heat, Florida's hot as hell) and completely forgot that my Ipod touch was in my pocket. After about five minutes I realized that I did and immediately left it out to dry. This was at about one in the afternoon. The screen wouldn't respond when I tried to turn it on, so I just let it dry in the sun. I bought a string of outdoor lights and plugged it into a socket inside to make sure it worked before putting outdoors and it did. When I hooked it up to the second set of lights outside it would not light up and when I took it back inside it wouldn't light up either. I can make the lights flash on and off for a second by wriggling the plug in the socket though. What happened?

I'm 13 and my friend's older bro is 17. I've been hanging out at my friend's house a lot and I don't see her brother a lot so I occasionally said hi to him and such when he was there. When we weren't talking we'd exchange glances and i know this because I always saw him looking at me out of the corner of my eye and i got curious and started glancing at him as well. At first I was just doing administrative and clerical work but now I am directly involved in client relations and customer service. Basically my boss is not booking events but is telling the clients she is. Then when it comes down to the day before said event she has me scramble to try to book something last minute. She is having me write detailed schedules to our clients stating events are booked when they aren't. She even gives them specific locations or tells me to just pick a random location and tell them that's where it is. Then when we can't book an event last minute, she tells me to lie to them and say its just rescheduled for another day, which is just another lie to cover up the first one. Some clients have been told this 4 weeks in a row. A few clients have become fed up and demanded refunds. When they have to refund someone they use the money from the new clients' payments to pay back the original clients. Our business partner who is selling the program is being lied to as well. I don't know him well but I do know that he has an impeccable reputation in our field. My boss is telling him that all of our 100 or so clients have events booked when they don't. When clients call him unhappy she somehow convinces him that it is his sales reps' fault that there are any problems. She even had his top sales rep fired and tries to justify the lying to me by saying that guy put us in this situation. When I started I thought it was weird that she didn't seem to spend any time booking events for the clients. She takes 3 hour lunches and sometimes just doesn't come to work. Sometimes she shows up at 4 in the afternoon. She continually tells me to lie and lie to the clients to keep them "happy". When I finally tried to express my discomfort with lying to our clients, she demoted me. She had given me 2 raises since I started for being dedicated and putting in 45 and 50 hour weeks. She now said since I don't "want to do what the job entails" she won't make me talk to the clients and I can just do administrative stuff again but I will get paid what I originally started at. The thing is I love my clients and enjoy talking to them and would love to do everything the job entailed so long as I didn't feel it was completely unethical. I feel like we're scamming them! I also enjoy booking events and I'm very good and successful at it but its not the kind of thing you can book 8 clients for on the next day! It requires building relationships and getting approvals and going back and forth with info about what it is etc. At this point I've booked more events than her. She also makes claims when selling us/booking events (and tells me to as well) that I'm starting to think aren't true. These are claims involving federal and state mandates and claims of affiliation with organizations and state offices that I'm not sure she really has. I need advice!!!!

British stuck in contolled marriage need advice

I have been married to my husband for 7 years we have 2 girls, my son, and his nephew, over the last 7 years I have endured physical abuse and mental abuse, mostly from his drinking bouts.I left him and took my 2 girl and son with me twice recently while he was drinking told him I would return when he stopped first time it took him 3 days, second 1 day, He has stopped drinking for 3 weeks now but seems to be on a control trip, he has started to take over paying the bills, taking charge of the money apart from my child support I receive. He leaves paying the electric and gas until the last minute ie the day before cut off these bills are all in my name including the tv and internet which he wants to get cut off so the family will be normal (he hates the internet). Does my dad really care about me?

I have had these issues with my dad since i was younger after my parents split and still till this day I have them. I would ask my dad for money for school clothes and he would say he didn't have it ( when I know he did), he even confessed later that he had it but he is not going to be "used" for money. Even for my 21st b-day he gave me a card with 21 dollars in it, (this was last year). I thought that was in insult because I know he has the money which he spends on his new wife. So that night we got them at midnight after we were both pretty drunk (about a 7.5 out of 10 drunkness) and we just smoked 3 blunts between the two of us so we were also pretty damn baked (about a 8.5 out of 10 bakedness). I had been in really good moods lately so I thought it would be the perfect time to take them. So we sat in his dorm room suite alone and immediately took them and chased them with beer to negate the taste. We started playing halo 3 campaign. After about 20 minutes, I started getting a really good body high and I felt really spacey. The body high got better and better and I was like, "wow this is hella tight!" and my friend was like, "you have no idea what's coming for you man, it gets SO much crazier!!". After about the 30-40 minute mark, I completely lost track of time and everything. I was just staring at the TV and all the posters in the room just saying, "wow, wow, wow" looking at everything around me. I looked over at my friend at his mouth was open, and he was just staring forward, and his face looked like clay kinda. At that point, I was still feeling pretty good so I grabbed the computer to watch this really trippy video that I knew of (ZZT- The Worm on YouTube). It was really really trippy and my friend threw up right in front of me, so that really freaked me out. I jumped out of my chair, and started pacing around the room saying, "dude, we need to go somewhere, see something, do something, get outa this 3-D room." At this point I was getting really paranoid and I felt hella sick. We could've been sitting in that room for hours, cause my friend said it felt like 3 hrs, and it felt like 5 minutes to me. After that, he vacuumed it up, and the noise of the vacuum tripped me out REALLY bad. I wasn't seeing colors or anything at this point, I was just REALLY paranoid and freaked out. After that, I laid down "just to think" it felt like. So he went to his room, and I was left alone on the couch all night alone in an unknown room. He left because we both felt an overwhelming feeling of awkwardness, like so bad that he had to leave and go to another room. The rest of the night I just laid down on the couch sweating really hard and not moving at all cause I felt really paranoid. I would sit up occasionally and come back to my mind and think wow that was really trippy, and then I'd lay back down and start tripping again. I didn't really see anything crazy or see crazy colors or anything. I basically just stared at the poster around me in the room and was very fixated on them. I came out of trip once and I had to go to the bathroom, so I mustered up the courage to get up and go to the bathroom. I saw myself in the mirror and my eyes looked like the devils eyes (they looked like they were filled with evil, hard to explain). So that freaked me out and I peed really quick which was really scary then I went back and laid on the couch until I the morning. I don't know if I slept or if I was just tripping. We took the shrooms at about 1 AM, and I stopped tripping at like 9:30 in the morning or so. I really don't remember that much from my trip about colors or crazy thoughts or seeing things, I mostly was just freaked out. I was definitely out of control, and I would mostly say my trip consisted of overwhelming feelings of awkwardness, paranoia, and fear. I thought I died for like an hour in the middle of my trip, it was pretty freaky. The only real visuals that I saw were my friends face just looking like a clay light green color, hard to explain but it looked really weird and trippy. The room I was in was also pretty dimensional, so that was kinda weird, but I just felt really claustrophobic. Did I eat bad shrooms? Or was that just a lot of REALLY dank shrooms for my first time (and I consider myself to have a low hallucinogen tolerance because I still trip of weed sometimes and I've been smoking for years).

Pretty much. Being on a ventilator helps keep you alive and is basically a machine that is breathing for you. Someone that is on a ventilator can come off of it when they get better, however. I believe someone that is on life support is about to die, and the family is waiting to say goodbye, and they want to spend some time with their loved one before pulling the plug.

Ballet or gymnastics?

I'm not sure which one to do. I absolutely adore music. I ecspecially love the type they use for ballet. I don't really dance but I love to move to music and I don't really like hip pop and jazz because there more complicated with the moves. I know ballet is harder than those two, but for me jazz and hip pop are harder. I'm better at the moves in ballet because they are simpler even though they are harder to preform. What should we do about our negligent landlord?

We moved into a house about a month ago and we noticed some serious deficiencies. The place had a laundry room attached to our unit that was filthy to a point of being a fire hazard. We asked that it been cleaned multiple times, so she went and finally swept the lint out from behind the dryers. There were also no fire alarms/smoke detectors, and we had to ask a few times for those to be purchased. My roommate also stated he smelled gas to the landlord and she said that she had the wall heater checked and it was fine. So, we decided to have the wall heaters gas turned off for summer. My roommate almost turned the heater on, as it has been really cold. He wanted to cancel the turn off so that we could use it. I said bundle up. So when the guy came out he said that the wall heater had a detachment that was leaking C02 into the air, and that if we had turned it on there was a good possabiity that we would have caused an expolsion. We contacted our landlord to discuss for putting our lives, and the lives of our 2 dogs in danger(who we crate during the day). We feel like there should be something that they do for being negligent and putting our lives in danger. They have yet to call us back, and it has now been 3 days. We cannot turn our heater on, we put up some smoke detectors. We live in CA. Any ideas, or legal insight. I'm REALLY not happy that they were neglegent to this level!

I'm a track runner/javelin thrower, I'm 20 years old, 6'6" and 180 lbs. I recently started wrestling against some buddies of mine. I got my horses head down, but she won't engage her hind end?

I finally got my horse to lower her head and flex at the poll. Still, I get the feeling that she isn't propelling herself enough with her hind end. Is there anything that I can do? I've tried deepening my seat while staying soft in my hands to encourage her forward movement but to control the movement. I've been lunging her everyday for three weeks for about 15-20 minutes; mostly at the canter so she can develop those muscles better, now she's practically ripped. Her balance is amazing especially for just going through EPM. I just need to know how to get her to propel and engage her hind end for a nice supple control and balance. She looks ok right now, but in the future I plan to teach her the extended trot (she's a Morgan and she loves learning new things).

Horse has round bare spots the size of nickel on his hip and mid-barrel?

While petting my colt, I noticed a spot of hard, matted hair on his hip. When I pulled, the hair came out in my hand and left a completely round, bald spot about the size of a nickel. I started feeling around, and noticed a couple more of these matted spots. The hair tuft that came out had what appeared to be dried pus??? on the edge that was attached to the body. The spot itself is completely bare of ANY hair and is almost perfectly round; it does not look like a scab, but neither does it look red or painful. It is simply bare skin. He had not been scratching, biting, or rubbing, neither does he seem to be itching. He did not seem to mind having the hair pulled or the spot touched. Also, there is white, flaky stuff in his mane, and I am panicked that it may be lice. I've looked for bugs or movement, but I haven't seen either. The white stuff is more flaky than it is beaded. Could this dandruff? Or is it possible lice? And could it be connected to the bare spots appearing on his coat? Any idea of what is causing this? Or how to stop it? Or get rid of it? Color is just pigment of skin. Nothing more. It dfoes not change a persons dreams, hopes, goals, desires, their sense of worship, the roads they choose to travel. Why don't we just learn from the cultural differences and all are the better for it! I have learned something new, and so have they. This poem makes me sad that the author has to go thru this, b/c of archaic attitudes.

I have managed to plant 3 miniture rose bushes but I am amazed that they are still living because I haven't taken good care of them.
