Got an ACD for Petty Larceny, What to put on Job Applications?

Hello, I was given an ACD for the charge of Petty Larceny about a year ago and I was told to complete a cl and pay a fine and the case would be dismissed after 6 months. I have completed the cl and it has been past six months. If the charge was dismissed, does that mean it will show up when people do background checks? I just wanted to know what I would put on a job application when they ask "Have you ever been convicted?" or "have you ever been arrested?" And i have also been told that i can just go check my record to see if it has been cleared, Would it matter if i do not have my case number anymore?
