If I told you an invisible octopus decides what happens in your life, and gave no proof, would you believe me?

I doubt in the m of answers you will recieve you will even happen upon mine. The fact is religion is a horribly messed up affair - it has been both distorted and destroyed. You see the flaws in religion and you see the good, misplaced though you think it is. The flaws mask the good for you, humans can make anything bad, including what once was good. You say you need proof, well if there is any proof it is that humans will probably always distort or ruin something, it is not religions fault though. Religion did not start wars, religion is not forcing itself down your throat, people are. I'd challenge you to look beyond people and read what it is exactly the religion says, then decide for yourself wether this "octopus" is worth your time. - And may i also add, you do not have all knowledge, the things that escape your proof, will you merely just ignore them? If you didn't know what the Northern Lights were caused by, would you deny they were there?
