Cat and dog coexistence?

Since they are not attacking each other and biting and scratching it sounds like they will make it! They probably need at least another week to get along. It might be a good idea to put them in separate rooms for part of the time. I would have done that right from the first day, kept them separate at night anyway. But it sounds like they are getting along well. We had kittens come here to live with a 8 year old dog and he just walked along and ignored them as they swatted at his tail. They also laid together sometimes. So like I said, I think your two will get together fine within the month and be good friends...
