Going camping and to the beach....?

My man, myself and the dog are going camping in va beach in late september, well not be doing any cooking, (bologna sandwiches and canned ravioli will do) so we don't need a cookstove, other than the obvious, (bug repellant, bedding, a tent, sun screen and personal items) what should we bring along? We've never been camping, either of us, nor the dog, lol. What are some things you've taken camping and were so glad you did?
